the interview was FANTASTIC....or should i said the position was FABULOUS!!! really no kidding. i really like the job scope, totally new, tap on the expertise of my construction background and NO MORE SHITTY QS WORK........WOW!! sounds like heaven send rite??!!??

sigh......but i shoot my big mouth off....... =((
first thing i was way too early for my 6pm interview. i reached the office at 540pm. was asked politely to wait at the reception area coz the interviewer was in a meeting with the directors. fine! coz i was early so no choice. wait lor. but i also definitely dun want to be late too..... =) so contradicting.

was sitting there sms-ing esther whether will i deduct pts for being TOO early. and then when its time for knocking off, i tell u nobody in the office pack up and go go go , not even the RECEPTIONIST!!!! ya, u heard it correctly or rather, u read it correctly, NO ONE lor...all buttocks glued tightly to their seats and eyes on pc screen.......WTH is happening to this world!!!! if its me, u see me being the first one to dash out.... =P esther told me to consider whether i want such a life in future if they recruit me....well, erm......i still not sure.....

anyway the pics in the tv has been repeating itself for the umpteem time and i just got sick of staring into and starting to have wondering eyes. i was looking at the cha bo who happened to come in earlier than me by few mins (i guessed. coz she was taking out her cert for the HR to verify when i first walked in) and then i saw only 1 interviewer, then 2, and then 3 and 4........wow!! this candidate must be very the got "liao" one lor. anyway, at 621pm, my interviewer came, associate director. old man lor. but i got to tell u, not the normal old man hor. he is those type tt has taste and class one. just like the super model or Ms Universe or Ms World, they have the "X" factor, this guy has the "X" factor and i loves to hear him talk, he has an accent....hehehe......old man, i like....but imagine if i am being employed and he bugged me everyday, i will be unable to take it lor.....will go crazy........argh.....

anyway, the 1st thing he asked "tell me abt urself" well, easy one, i have practise this umpteem times for all interview so i blah abt my job scope and my previous co and before i can finished my job scope he INTERRUPTED and went "so bascially u have been doing the QS scope of work" and i went "ya" then its his turn, he went on to tell me what they looking for. whats the difference job scope of being an executive and an officer. fine, both posts i like.....one is do business developement with him, which is bascially a PA to him, the other is project management and will be assigned to architects and have to work closely with them, i like both job scope....... =))

but the more challenging one will be to be his PA. dun know why when he said about having power english and being confident, the image of ESTHER came into my mind. hehehe.....esther has powerful english and is always very confident, with powerful ang mo, her report writing skills will be wonderful!!! contract drafting will also be fantastic. but on the research part, i like lor. i like to surf net mah. anyway, surfing of net is easy job lor, anyone also can do lor. its the ang mo part and confidence part tt i lose out.....sigh. so i guess i won't get the job. but i think if they get esther in for the interview, she will be the PERFECT candidate lor

when the other man (his car kia) asked me how meticulous i am. whether am i able to proof read between the draft and the final contract and pick up any amibigous. i went "blank" then he helped me and said "i am sure u actually do some during your course of work. coz u need to prepare the tender doc and contract rite?" and i went "yes. u r rite. honestly speaking, at present if i am given the task to do it, i might not be able to pick up 100% of such amibigous, but as time goes by and i learn along the way, i am sure i will be able to pick them up not 100 % but at least 99.9%" they nodded their head and director said "good good" but i think i shoot my big mouth off lor......lolz.......over confident leh. then the car kia asked "r u careful with u work?" then i went " all i can say is I TAKE PRIDE IN MY WORK" omg!! can faint rite....dun know come from where one. i think from my sec school's motto leh.......or was it from the school song "with pride and joy let us sing, let truth and sincerity come right from your heart..........." omg!! i actually remembered my school song.......wow!! * give a pat on the shoulder* anyway, 2nd shoot lor..... =)) no medicine to save liao.....

he also told me to asked myself whether do i still want to do qs work. coz if the answer is yes, i can forget abt getting this job, coz this post will not be what i am looking for. pls lor, i never wanted to do qs lor. hehehe when i left cpg and pop over to pfs, i was tasked to do pm cum qs work lor, in the end i did managing work. so stupiak. waste time lor. so now really got the opportunity to move on to greater things and yet can still tap on my knowledge in this trade, why not. its wat i wanted all along when i left cpg rite...... =)) so i told him and associate director "this is what i looking for. looking for a post that allows me to take on greater responsiblity".......shoot myself leh....hahaha...dun know the lines come from which drama.....can faint lor

then he asked "which job scope interest u most after this talk with us?" and i went " i think i have to be selfish on this area, if given an opportunity, i would like to try out all. be exposed to more things" then the car kia went " true true. so u saying tt at this pt of time, u r keeping ur options open." "yes" very quickly i replied. i realised tt he is trying to help me along in the interview. nice chap. but he no smile one lor, so i doubt he is an easy guy to work with. definitely no easy lor. and whenever the associate director interupted him, he wil gave him and me a very black look. looks like this associate director also not an easy man to work with. i think he will always change his mind.......flickle minded man and loves to interupt ppl. anyway he then went "this is not selffish. u r still young, of course u will like to be expose to more areas and then find your potential" and i went "thank you for being understanding". and smiled.....by the way, i really wonder does he know tt i am already in my 3X!!. and not 2X........hehehe

the the final qn came "when can u start work?1 month or immediately?" then i went " i stated immediately" then he went "good good." then i smiled. then he said" if my hr called u tomolo, can u start work as in immediately tomolo?" inside my heart thinking "wa!! so fast meh?" then i just looked at him and then he continued " or u intend to work after the christmas or new yr?" then i went "i stated immediately but i prefer to start work in the new yr 2008." then he went "ok ok" and the associate director went "2nd jan" and i just smiled.......shoot again......sigh......

went to previous interviews all said i job hopped. only this one bo chap. it also didn't bother them tt i have worked in so many co before hand. also no bother them tt i did not have a good honours degree. no bother abt me leaving cpg without fisrt securing a job.....i tell u lor. this should be the correct thingy. REALLY!! we have already worked like 11 yrs in this line, why goes into such nitty gritty stuff. we should all be seeing the big pic lor......this is the type of org or co we should have in the market, take care of staff welfare, and train the staff and even develop staff potential. helps the staff find their niche.

associate director got say hor today A might be working in Team A and then cross over to Team B. then along comes Team C and finds tt A has potential in a particular area in their team, A can go over to Team C. so there is no fixed role for everyone. i like lor....i like this kind of working environment. really, no kidding one. slowly develop ur skills and potential....at expense of the co. hehehe.......why not rite? =)

when i left, associate director said "u will hear from the hr" how true i dun know. we didn't even touch on the issue of S11 lor.....so hr called me for what? sigh....made me happy for a moment.
franly speaking, such job scope and co, hardly or should i say rarely comes back....... =)) should have asked him "how soon will i hear from u" heehee, then at least i won't have sleepless nights....

but but but.....i have shoot my big mouth off 4 times or maybe more......so whats my chances of getting the hr to call me??!!?? ZERO!!!!!!! sigh........ =(( even though i really like to be given the opportunity to try it out, but but but.........sigh........guessed its all fated lor....

anyway when i left the office, the cha bo was still in her interview!!! omg!!!

checked my email but the XXX no send me the details and application form.....sigh......dun bother lah. SF told me the job not easy one. coz if the cha bo (whom she dun know the name) is still ard, she wil practically "dump" and "download" all the qs work to the qs to do, do, do......so i will just go and take a look and then meet up with her for lunchie after the INFORMAL meeting.....
