the recent commotion besides inflation is "sharkfin"
some resort in sentosa said tt it will served the sharkfin only to VIP guests in the VIP room should they want to order for it
why? becoz they know tt sharks very poor thing lor. after removing the fin, they will be thrown back into the sea and left to die.............(so wei da lor)
but for the "normal" guests, they will only served soups like lobster, scallop, prawns, fish, chicken, blah blah blah"
to me, its fine, coz its individual choice of what u want to eat, drink or shit. cannot be force one lor. unless u said "ITS COMPUSLORY" =))
ppl can serve, u can choose not to eat
so stop "blaming" the resort, why not educate the ppl instead??!!??

the resort even went into the depth of why they will served sharkfin. use the backside think also know lor. it BRINGS IN MORE MONEY than the lobster, scallop, prawns, fish, chicken, blah blah blah soups. and u know, ppl wants face. so to show tt they come from a certain status one, they have to have sharkfin soup. whether to drink, wash the mouth, gargle the throat or for whatever reason, its their calling.

soon, the papers were flocked with replies from the "eco" ppl. "if not serving to "normal" guests then why VIP have such privilage?" the reason also stated up front lor, blind is it? or no study? cannot see or cannot read. "MONEY" who in the right frame of mind will pit themselves against MONEY!! the root of all evil.........

anyway, day after day, ppl sending in their "humble opinion" why this resort should not serve sharkfin AT ALL. read same thing over and over again, despite different story but main aim is the same, i also sian lor

its the same as the construction of IR in singapore. gahmen informed the citizens tt we will be constructing IR in singapore. citizens are allowed to give their views on it. some are for some against. fight here fight there. petition send in. hoo ha here, hoo ha there, end of the day "SINGAPORE WILL HAVE ITS OWN CASINO" tts it, end of story. whether u like it or not. so just accept it lor.

u think the gahmen, play masak masak meh. they have thought thru the idea very thoroughly liao. everybody tekan to brain storm the pros and cons and whether to go for or against. sleepless nights and endless brain storming sessions. finally decision is made. there is a need for IR, why?? reason also simple, root of all evil, MONEY!!!! with the IR, it will create jobs for ppl (be it local or foreigners),( imagine, suddenly the gamblers have "an office" to work in leh. hehehe), bring in revenue, bring in business, foreigners willing to come to singapore and INVEST, tourism will also be affected. end of the day, it all boils down to the S 11 thingy.

or the issue on the price hike in public transport. ppl also fight here and there. some for some against. ppl said few cents only, give lah. some said poor leh. few cents also cannot afford to give. union came out and say this and tt. pacified the ppl. end of the day, "sorry lor. price hike is here to stay" u also LL lor.

or the issue on the GST thingy. from 3% to 5% to 7%. ppl also made noise. "cannot lah. will die lah. this and tt lah". fight fight fight. end of the day, whether u like it or not, u still have to accept it lor. gahmen later gave money to help ease the hike, ppl also happy happy, diam diam take the money. why no hear ppl said "u think gave money can solve the matter meh?" chey!!

so back to the sharkfin issue. whether u like it or not the sharkfin will still be served in the resort lor. but U can choose not to order tt, u have other choices lor. so stop pointing fingers at the resort. go educate the ppl..........
