this smart alec was commenting "why the mrt trains need to switch on their lights in BROADDAY LIGHT. isn't it wasting electricity? why we need to have air con taxi or buses on the streets? we also can have non air con and then let the ppl choose to pay for more or less for their rides?"
all i want to say is "USE YOUR BRAINS"
sigh. i dun want to be rude here but this is my own humble opinion
mrt trains are not all travelling in the "sky" one lor
neither are they all travelling in tunnel........some are a mixtures of "sky" and tunnel. so now do u know why they need to switch on their lights? not to waste electricity or for fun!!! then u will say "then on it before gg into the tunnel lor." then dun u find it troublesome?? then u will say "just be coz u dun want to be troublesome then u dun on it? and continues wasting electricity?" "then why no light up the tunnel instead? but which is more economical to switch on the light for the trains or light up all the tunnels?? which is the saving and which is then wasting........*evil grin*
next, i am not saying anything ok. but singaporeans or non singaporeans very pampered one. and also fussy and choosy and difficult to please. we have come a long long way lor. last time, polisis wore short pants now long pants lor. last time public transport all non air con one lor. even the taxis are installed with fans only ok. then we evolved a long way and came to where we are today. so much better so much nicer, of course there is a price to come with it lah. but have we been complaining???!!?? not much lah. complains sure have one, coz we are afterall human lor....... =))
frankly speaking, with the hot weather like this in singapore, who can ta han no air con. u tell me lor. maybe i can lah, coz my house no air con no washing machine. we still the very the "manual" type one. but really, imagine, on a hot and sunny day, all dressed up to go to work, ask u to take a non air con cab just so tt u can save the few cents!!! will u rather pay a few more cents and take an air con cab???? and can appeared in the office "swee swee" just in time for that meeting with ceo or clients or director.....
and who knows, on the way to work, suddenly heavy downpour, u have to wind up the windows, then ???? no air con.......waste the fan so small..........how u wished u had pay a few more cents and travel in comfort rite????
then buses!! i tell u lor. i witnessed it myself many many times. when it rains, the passengers do not help the bus driver closed the windows one lor. they deemed or concluded tt "its not my business" of course there are good ones lah (just like me. but i just closed the windows ard me) anyway, then the seat next to the windows will get wet and then ppl dun want to sit lor. very typical one. wet wet dun sit......then its also troublesome for the driver to stop along the road and close all the windows esp if its crowded in the bus lor
and if really this idea went thru the board, does it means tt transportation cost can be reduced??? coz why are we paying a premium when the "standard" has dropped??
u know the answers liao lor, dun need ppl to tell u.........

my god bro came to sing
coz he was bumming ard in china so his parents finally send him over
dad took the liberty to take care of him
he doesn't stay with us though, he stayed with his papa's family
but he will pop by everyday and stayed from morning to evening time

was told tt he wanted to study a finance course in singapore
"his maths very good. very good with figures" my dad said
so got my other cousin who studied finance and marketing to help search for relevant courses
i told dad yesterday, why not just bring him down to the campus
they will have those counsellors or whatever they called them now to assist us in finding the right course and also the procedures. who knows his current qualification does not qualify him to study finance coz he has no basics......so he needs to start somewhere. so instead of us sitting here and guess this and tt, why not just bring him down to the school
so dad brought him down to SMU today and this guy assisted them. but too bad the course has started and so he will need to wait for the next sem which is sept next yr.........dad said cannot wait tt long. so we need to find another one. i told him what abt SIM? and he just jumped to the conclusion tt SIM and SMU will be the same, they have missed the sem. and i was like "wtf!! can't u just enquriy abt it? if email no response, then go down or call them up lor. if they can go to SMU why not SIM?"
anyway, up to them lah, u know lor, old folks think differently.........we asked when in doubt, they think they are always rite, they know everything.
anyway, dad told me they decided to go for the course offered by RAFFLES COLLEGE. frankly speaking, i no hear abt them. but dad said the course is offered by UNIVERSITY OF WALES. so i told him, all schools can tell u tt their courses are offered by reputable UNIVERSITY from where and where, but we as consumers must make sure tt the paper tt came with it end of the day is recognised by the respective bodies or even co in singapore or best if gobally recognised. coz his god son may not want to stay in singapore for the rest of his life. u know what i mean.
he just want to keep insisting tt the school gurantee tt the course is recognised, the university is reputable and recognised. so i told him why not get uncle to check with his ex coll who are still working in the bank industry whether they recognise such a paper and such a school or such a course. i meant well afterall.
just like last evening, i was just asking him which university he studied in previously? which level? study what? he so proudly told me tt he is from UNIVERSITY OF XXXX and he studied for 2 yrs didn't finish his 4 yr course. and he laffed. i told him "dad, this is a serious matter. when we talk serious. be serious ok. this is no laffing matter" and then he said in a serious tone "i am seriously talking to u lor." sigh *speechless* and so i went "i never heard of the university for ur infor and he no finished his study, consider as a dropout here in singapore context. so pls dun go out and boast loudly to others tt ur god son is from what UNIVERSITY. coz its embrassing enough tt he is a drop out!!" not tt i want to look down upon my god bro but i dun dad to go ard boasting, end of the day, he disgraced him only. u dun get far by boasting lor.....ppl sees results. i told him, if he wants he can tell ppl tt his god son is from university of xxx but he stopped schooling coz he find tt singapore has a better edcuation system so he wants to come here pursue his education. or whatever shit lor.
ok whatever, anyway, whatever i said is shit lor. they dun like to listen........ =(( then why bother to ask me??!!?? tts why sometimes i dun want to answer them or be bother to talk to them. coz they just dun want to hear what i say. my words are not music to their ears.....so be it. do i care??? though i looked like i dun care a damn but really I DO CARE LOR. and IT HURTS badly ok. esp when dad asked mama to called sister just now and mama said tomolo then call since not urgent and dad said "no lah. call now. its very urgent."
so what is urgent!???!!?? dad told sister all abt what happened today at SMU and then gg to settle for RAFFLES COLLEGE, blah blah blah. even those stuff which i said abt whether the paper is recognised or not??? but of course he didn't say i say lah, he just said tt he afraid the paper not recognised.

assorted...didn't take much but a bit of each.....the salmon was ok. swordfish was like "hm....." prawn paste chicken and the ribs could be nicer if they are piping hot!!! tahu goreng was nice.......not too big not too small. jus nice.... =P skipped the chilli crab coz quite messy rite? then the salad bar too. and the cooked food and carving section.......

but i still very uncleared what boss actually wants us to do coz she mentioned tt the f/a got dispute lor. and this and tt. then her hdp rang and she left the room. and i asked J so what boss wants us to do? she just gave me a blank look and went "dun know" and i was quite surprised when boss asked "any qn?" she didn't even bother to query her lor. so i asked boss what exactly she wants us to do. sigh......*shake head* really wonder her mouth got gold is it? now dun ask when ask? when she is gone??? sigh
then boss very quickly went thru the remaining projects on the list and grouped some of the projects and told me "SY, i think u can do these" and i went "ok" and then she said "the rest give it to the new CM" and i was like jaw dropped!!! then J do what??!!
then boss went thru another list and can see tt she originally wanted to ask J to continue with one of the existing projects. but J was very fast, she told boss "i prefer to do this project. i want to do projects tt start from day 1" so boss was also sweet lah, she allowed her to do so. and then boss asked her "what else u want to do?" she just kept quiet. i know why she doesn't want to do tt project lor. coz its shitty lor. alot of problems.
then boss went "ok lah. SY i think u do this one and then all these projects gave it to the new CM. J u brief her on thur ok"

and then the other is to get the 2 big bosses to sign the meeting minutes so tt can forward to the bigger boss. so she asked me "after signing, what must i do?" i said 'gave it to the director" and then she went "give to who to give to director?" then i went "no give to who. we have to deliver ourselves" then she went "can i wait for u to come back and then u deliver" i looked at her so unbelievable lor "u just need to give it to his sec." and she got so worried and went "but can i wait for u to come back then send" then i went "but will be delayed for 1 day lor." and she looked at me ma chiam the so pitiful look. and i went 'actually tell u what. just put it on my table. i will send it myself when i come back on wed. afterall already delayed. what is one more day." and she actually dare dare reply me with 'ya lor"

then hor, dear finished the chapter which we were supposed to be watching TOGETHER and woke me up to send me home
and then we were talking and then suddenly he "bashed and whacked" me. dun worry, we were only playing lah i can ta han so i played along with him
and then i almost hit the table behind me and so he told me to be careful
so i just asked him casually what will he do if so happened that i knocked on the table.
then he said "i already warned u lor. so not my problem liao." then i asked if i cry how? then he said "i warned u liao. u ownself still want to knock on it then i will scold u lor"
i knew he was joking lah. but i just kept quiet
suddenly he used a new skill "the sciosser legs" on me and then i fought back lor.
i not the "save oil lamp" ok.
i fought back by biting his "ka chng" hahaha......
anyway, after two three times i was abit piss off liao
so i told him dun play liao but he still continued
fine, then i played along again then he "threw" me off the bed in the sense tt half my body was outside the bed only my legs are on the bed
he was still holding on to my hands lah (if u can imagine my position)then hor, i tried my best to "climb" back onto the bed, but he hor, no assist me to bring me back on the bed. he only "pushed me out" my waist power not tt good lor few sec later, i tired liao. so i just allow myself to fall onto the floor
my head was already resting on the floor and then my shoulder then my body
i TL liao. and told him to stop playing but he still continued playing

i think enough is enough lor so i told him "LET GO OF MY HANDS"
then he replied " i will never let u go"
but i am already lying on the floor,except for the 2 legs of mine which are still on the bed
then i kept telling him to let me go and he kept saying " i will not let u go no matter what'
but if u can imagine my position now, its very tiring to have half body on the floor and the other on the bed and i also not sure whether he knows tt i am already on the floor
he kept asking me to "climb" back up and kept pulling me up
but most of my weight is already on the floor lor
and since i already on the floor how to push myself up

so i sort of raise my voice and told him "LET GO OF ME, I AM ALREADY ON THE FLOOR. AND MY HEART IS DEAD SO JUST LET ME GO"

so he repeated what i said abt the "my heart is dead" then he popped his head out and saw tt i am on the floor
but he just dun want to let go the hands, and i am very tired. he continued playing and said "i will never let go of u." then i went "MY HEART IS DEAD, U HAVE TO LET GO" he just dun get it and continued playing and shaking me all these while half body on bed and the other half on the floor. so i got very mad and raised (have not shouted yet) "let go of me and let's go home now"
then he let go of me, and i stood up and went to take my bag and left the room
he quickly put on his t shirt and then came out to the living room and then we left his house
i never talk to him much on the way home

this is not the first time he did this to me
the 1st time was worst, think he doesn't know his limit, so i was "thrown" onto the floor, knees landed on the floor first, and i was very angry. tt time, i told him "i am falling. but he made no attempt to "save" me and told myself if he ever do tt to me again, i will never forgive him
how can a bf do tt to his gf? and worst, he didn't even say sorry . this time i think dear forgot his limits and went too far!!!anyway, quiet all the way home
when i reached home, i wanted to apologise for my outburst. but i told myself, i was not at fault. though i played along but i did told him to stop. just tt he didn't listen. so i told myself if he would just sms me later and tell me tt he is sorry, i will then also apologised for my outburst!!but he just smsed "nite"

i almost want to ZZzzzzzzzzz in the cinema
and to think we rushed down from east to central (TB) to catch the 930pm show. got to say, dear was good lor. but maybe some other ppl are faster lah. we left house at 9pm and can still make it in time for the 930pm show. and we didn't miss any single scene ok. we even got to watch advertisement......muahaha
anyway, dun want to digress.
why i chose the movie. coz the critics for the I weekly and the 8 days said "THE HAPPENING was not tt happening afterall" and since shaolin girl is co-directed by stephen chow, how bad could it be rite?

anyway, after 3000 days of training in the shaolin temple, she can leave the mountain liao
when she went home, she realised tt her grandpa's wu shu school closed down
so she went ard asking why why why
but hor, nobody tells her why
then she managed to find one person who knows why but dun want to tell her till the end lor
got some funny parts lah. but to me very lame lor
anyway, dear was telling me "the critics very humble leh, gave the movie 2 stars. i won't give it any stars lor"
he even mentioned 1 star for the dragon(which appeared at the end. something like the shaolin soccer lor) and 1 star for kawaii........muahaha....... =P

but hor, bloody pork lor, my card was retained for NO REASON!!
so i called up the customer service hotline
and was transferred to a lady
she was very sweet and helpful
and i must apologised for being rude to her

i dun really remember the sequence and the actual wordings we communicate in lah. but something like tt lah.......=P still i wanna say sorry to her. I AM SORRY =)) hope i dun spoil ur weekend mood
quite surprised she greeted me with my first name
then she asked me what happened. and i told her "i was trying to withdraw money and YOUR machine EATS MY CARD"
she told me tt my card has some security problem and tts why it was being retained and so need to block the card
and i was so pissed off
"what problem? u have to tell me? how can u just block my card?"
then she said tt her system said tt the machine had some technical problems tts why retained my card.
and i went "how can tt be when ppl can still withdraw money from tt machine"

and i was like " I ONLY HAVE ONE BANK!!!" if i have another ATM card u think i will bother to call and made a fuss
anyway, deep down, i think she do meant do u have OTHERS bank atm acc. then she went to check her system and told me "ms chan, actually from our system, showed tt u have a jt acc but u never use it." and i went "ya. tt acc should be with my mum" and she went "maybe u can transfer money from this acc to that jt acc should u need to use the money now."
but in my heart, i was thinking even if i want to do tt but I DUN HAVE MY CARD, HOW TO TRANSFER!!!! omg!!! why me!! i just want to take money for my mum, take some money to spend over the weekends and also save some money!!! what's so difficult abt tt!! what's the problem!!!!
anyway, to cut the long story short, and i dun want to be angry over this matter, i told her "i am sorry. but do just send me the card." she reminded me tt it will take abt 3 to 4 days. and i told her its ok. she kept apologising, i told her its ok not her fault anyway. felt bad tt i was so rude to her. sigh

retail shops in the cbd areas should be extended in their opening hours. so tt ppl can go shopping after work
nowadays its all thru internet banking rite? if not just a phone call away. or perhaps quick cheque deposit. no need to have banks operating during sundays lor. frankly speaking, how many goes to bank on sundays. we normally will try to squeeze some time in between lunch time to go lor. hehehe.......why the hassle to plan a day to go. sunday is for rest, for church, for family.........

i met WL in the last carriage at 615am
i woke up at 530am and then left home at abt 6pm and walked to interchange lor
reached harbour front and went to mac to get breakfast
but they dun have the $2 breakfast lor
so we each got an egg muffin (no meal)
we met with the grp outside delifrance and then name taking, saying hellos and long time no see
saw many new faces. international faces actually
then we went to board the ship but morzi and family were late
they told us to go ahead to check in first while the organsiers stayed behind and waited
they tried to call her but she no pick up the phone
anyway, she managed to turn up at the very very last min, reason given was her 3rd son "lao sai"hehehe
anyway, 45 mins later we reached batam
1st stop is go-cart.
$15 for 10 mins, which i refused to part with my money
though its fun to see others playing but no way lor with my hard earned money
next stop is the water sports
only 1 person is interested to play lor
so the organisers persuaded her to "cut love"
so we proceeded to next stop which is to go check out the polo stuff
in the end, nobody got anything coz "still too exp" some exclaimed
so she said she will bring us to the "not real stuff" shop later on
next stop, kui lapis
home made one lor
they allowed us to sample and then placed addition orders
i didn't buy any, as usual
very typical of me!!

next we went for our seafood lunch and then the local shop
as usual, i think its the only 101 seafood kelong in batam leh
everytime go, sure go there one for seafood lunch

after lunch, we proceeded to another local product shop and then to the "not so real" shop.
still no buy.....hahaha....as a matter of fact, nobody alighted the bus except for some aunties who saw the make shift fruit stalls
then we were split into groups. ppl will proceed to go for massage and ppl who procced to shopping
me of course will give up shopping lor
i went for a full body massage at $32 for 1 and a half hour
it was very shiok!! except for the noise made by the "13 points" girls lor......sigh
so i no can really enjoy, no can r&r......
but the girl beside me slept thru out the session lor. so envy
after massage session, we met up with the grp and proceed to our dinner venue which is a 3 stars hotel. it used to be a condo but becoz too exp so was converted to hotel........so unusual hor. here, we convert hotels to condo, over there is condo to hotels. but hor, i tell u, their condo only 3 storey one lor.....hehehe.......they build horizontally unlike us vertically......
after dinner, we were rushed to our last shopping destination to get donuts and maggi noodles. heard tt its very good, cheap and nice to eat. but as usual, i no buy lor. just see ppl buy.....
then we were rushed to the ferry terminal and then urshered onto the boat and "bye bye......hope to see u again" =))
tts the end of my 1 day trip in batam!! $30 for the trip and 2 meals and $32 for my massage!! money well spend. very worth it lor...... =)) thank WL for making this trip for me...... =))
dear was also sweet lor. he came to fetch me!! =P must thank him too!! coz i was really very very tired liao. if he no comes, i think i will sleep on the train..........becoz he came to fetch me, i get to sleep at 11pm. tell u a secret, i went straight to bed when i got home lor. i was really too tired to bath.....muahaha.....smelly me.......but shhhhhhhhhhh.........dun tell anyone ok....*wink*

well, i was rushing the whole day to get tt stupiak tender out. calling consultant to get doc amended and this and that. subsequently got to tidy up something which boss asked me to do. and then chased for things here and there.
finally at 3pm, no signatures from big bosses tt we can go ahead with the tender calling
and then 430pm, i went to ask the 3 pigs if i missed the 5pm "deadline", can i still call??!??
the most shocking reply i got "CAN ONLY CALL TENDER ON MONDAY, TUESDAY OR FRIDAY"

take example this course which buddy asked us. i didn't want to go in the first place, coz it is a 1 day course. u know how i hate courses. anyway, she kept jio-ing me to register, so i obliged lor. in the end, boss only approved buddy and me to attend. so she LL lor. then subsequently, buddy got another course. this time its a 2 days course. i told them i not interested coz its 2 days!! and J said go lah, we three go. then i said i have registered for the 1 day one lor. if she wants she go with buddy. she didn't say yes or no, but can see tt she wants lor. anyway, buddy went ahead to get boss approval for herself, think becoz J also no give a yes or no answer, so buddy didn't wait for her. apparently boss is very supportive of her gg to this course, but told her since she already registered for the 1 day course, let J attend this course or if transfer the 1 day course to J and buddy can go ahead with this 2 days course. buddy's final decision is to go ahead with the 1 day course and give up the 2 days one. so i told J "hey! u go apply for this 2 days one lah, since u so interested" know wat she said "no lah. i not interested. anyway the new girl is coming in, so i better dun attend any course so tt i can hand over the projects to her" wa kao!! win liao lor
luckily i didn't register if not can die lor. 2 days leh.......

just came back from dinner
we went to celebrate zhuang's birthday!!
supposed to go to the jap marche at Basement of cityhall
and i tell u "wow!! ma chiam free food lor!!" the Q was so long.......
so we had no choice but to go for alternative, which we decided to go to SUSHI TEI
i tell u lor
not tt i want to say them, but they made me want to say them lor
too bad i no take down the name of the waitress who took down our contacts
she said "table for 3. the waiting time is 30 to 45min"
and we looked at each other and them told her "ok"
took down our contacts and said "we will call u once the table is ready"
we went to check out NYNY
and i tell u, long q too lor. but not as long as the jap marche
anyway, ping saw TCC at a distance and said tt we tried tt
and viola!! no Q lor
so we went in
i know i know, we made a booking with SUSHI TEI but no call yet mah
so anyway, we placed our orders and then VIOLA!!
the drinks came first then the cutlery and then the waitor came with a plate of dun know what pasta and the 3 of us gave him a BLUR LOOK. and he also exclaimed he made a mistake!! he took our orders one lor. how could him.....tsk tsk
anyway, few mins later he came with an apologetic face and said "sorry, there is a (cannot remember what words he used. think they lost our order), may i take your orders again"
so i made a remark in tt case can we have some desserts FOC. not sure he pretended to be deaf or what. he IGNORED me lor!!...tsk tsk
so anyway we repeated what we ordered previously (without looking at the menu lor. coz he also didn't provide us any) and then he said need to wait for few mins coz chicken and salmon need longer time to cook......esp my OVEN BAKED MARINATED CHICKEN!!! and i made the same remarks again on the free dessert....still it fell on deaf ear.... tsk tsk...zhuang also tried her luck by asking him to give us complementary FINGER FOOD......muahahaha......but no no no lor...
so ping being very helpful, repeated my request to him and finally he said "cannot give finger food but can try to give us a pc of cake"
and viola!! after checking with his supervisor, he returned to our table with a pc of CHEESECAKE lor!! not cheap ok!! according to the girls, it could cost abt $5!!! wa lao!! but i got to tell u lor, ITS NICE LOR......hahaha yum yum!!! and fyi the FOC cake eventually double up as zhuang's birthday cake!!!!
anyway, few sec later, our order came......looks like he did "push" our orders for us........THANKS WILFRED!!! yeah!! dun be alarm!! i got note down ur name lor!!! ping and zhuang, hehehe.....surprised tt i know his name??!!?? well, he will be the best staff of the week lor!! at least for us rite??
and for the worst staff of the week, well, in my humble opinion, it will have to be tt SUSHI TEI staff who took down our contacts and NEVER BOTHER TO CALL US BACK!!!!!!

apparently, as i mentioned before, the cubicle which i am relocated to, used to be hers
its too small and crampy to her, tts why when one of the cm left, she moved in to the vacant cubicle and abandoned her own cubicle
and then, i was assigned to her abandoned cubicle
i told her its ok.
who knows, it might be a blessing afterall.

the recent commotion besides inflation is "sharkfin"
some resort in sentosa said tt it will served the sharkfin only to VIP guests in the VIP room should they want to order for it
why? becoz they know tt sharks very poor thing lor. after removing the fin, they will be thrown back into the sea and left to die.............(so wei da lor)
but for the "normal" guests, they will only served soups like lobster, scallop, prawns, fish, chicken, blah blah blah"
to me, its fine, coz its individual choice of what u want to eat, drink or shit. cannot be force one lor. unless u said "ITS COMPUSLORY" =))
ppl can serve, u can choose not to eat
so stop "blaming" the resort, why not educate the ppl instead??!!??
the resort even went into the depth of why they will served sharkfin. use the backside think also know lor. it BRINGS IN MORE MONEY than the lobster, scallop, prawns, fish, chicken, blah blah blah soups. and u know, ppl wants face. so to show tt they come from a certain status one, they have to have sharkfin soup. whether to drink, wash the mouth, gargle the throat or for whatever reason, its their calling.
soon, the papers were flocked with replies from the "eco" ppl. "if not serving to "normal" guests then why VIP have such privilage?" the reason also stated up front lor, blind is it? or no study? cannot see or cannot read. "MONEY" who in the right frame of mind will pit themselves against MONEY!! the root of all evil.........

finally put the anti mosquito repellant patch to test last sat
coz the mosquitoes will come out at 7pm sharp
so 645pm, we each took a patch and stick it on our clothings
7pm came and u can really see them flying all over
dear was like "u sure one smiley face can prevent mosquitoes bite?"
and i went "ya. tts what it said lah. but not sure abt outdoor mosquitoes. esp fishing spots one"

anyway, i looked up into the sky and was like "wow!! think its gg to rain lor. lucky i am on the bus on my way home"

then at the traffic junction, i saw fallen leaves swirling ard on the road lor. and i was like "please please dun rain yet"
and then when i alighted at my stop, big gush of wind lor

at first mind was still focusing, next moment it wondered off

then i called myself back, and tried focusing again
and before i knew it, 1230pm lor
1/2 hour more and its lunchie time!!
after lunch time, i started to clear emails and then i suddenly saw tt thick black file on my table!!

so quickly started to vet the draft doc and then before i know it, its 530pm
and i quickly rushed out my 2nd assignment. and then 605pm
and then quickly go toilet, packed up, dinner at BK and then rush for my facial.....
muahaha
damaged of $80 for tonight!!
but i am sure "I AM WORTH IT"
